Checking In

1. Check in starts at 3pm

2. WiFi: Lopez4Guest

3. Plug in the refrigerator - easy plug in on top of the fridge

4. Flip breaker labeled “Water Heater” from “OFF” to “ON” inside electrical panel

5. To control heat in main room, simply turn the heat up as desired. For the two bedrooms plug in space heaters if needed.

6. Additional towels/bedding/toilet paper supplies are located in the bunkroom closet.

Rules

1. Quiet hours are from 10pm until 7am. Please be respectful of our neighbors (all of whom are full-time residents). We have had issues with groups partying late.

2. Walk – don’t drive – down to the beach. Here are instructions to access the community beach:

   • Go out Shearwater Lane, then turn left (toward water) onto Ocean Spray

   • Follow that down to the bottom of the hill

   • Go down private driveway (permissible) about half-way and you will see stairs to the beach

   • If anyone questions you just say you are guests of the Lees/Avedesians

3. Obey the speed limit on Sunrise Rd. Driving fast kicks up dust and annoys the neighbors!

4. Please conserve water. Water is a precious resource on Lopez Island. Note there is enough hot water for about one shower per hour.

5. Do not drive on the lawn – cars should be parked in gravel parking areas only.

6. Burn firewood in firepit only. Do not leave fires unattended.

7. Fireworks are not permitted anywhere on Lopez Island. This is strictly enforced!

8. Do not chop trees or throw axes at them. Yes, this has happened and it made us very sad.

9. All pets must be pre-approved. Please keep pets off the beds and furniture and pick up after them.

10. Smoking is prohibited in/around the cabin

11. Be extra kind to the aging septic system. Only flush compostable material and do not put food/waste/oil/grease down kitchen sink.

12. Keep doors closed to prevent bugs from flying in.

13. Wave! All drivers on Lopez wave to each other. Do as the locals do and be friendly :)

Checking Out

1. Check out is at 11am

2. Please return everything in the cabin to its original location.

3. Please strip all beds that were used during your stay and pile used linens and towels

4. Start a load of laundry in the washer

5. Bag up trash and recycling and leave in the kitchen

6. Empty, unplug, and prop open refrigerator

7. Wash and put away any plates and silverware. Clean any appliances and put back.

8. Cover grill and ensure propane gas is turned off

9. Turn heater down to 55 degrees. Please do not turn it off

10. Turn off all lights and close/latch all windows​
